NEIGHBOURHOOD WARDENS
The Neighbourhood Wardens patrol areas where people feel vulnerable
and offer a reassuring visible presence to those who live, work and
visit the District of Ashfield.
Neighbourhood Wardens are there to be the "eyes and ears" of the community.
The wardens will take reports from local people about criminal activity or
anti-social behaviour such as vandalism and graffiti, along with environmental
issues, such as litter and abandoned vehicles, this information is then passed
onto the appropriate agency.

CCTV IN STANTON HILL
CCTV cameras are now operational in Stanton Hill
and have already proved successful in the arrest and
prosecution of several offenders.

OFF-ROAD BIKERS WILL HAVE VEHICLES SEIZED

Police chiefs are urging folk to come forward with information about individuals
using off-road bikes on streets across Ashfield.
Officers now have the power to seize the vehicles if drivers fail to respond to
hard-hitting warnings about using them on the road.
And Sgt.Richard Stones, of Sutton Police, has also warned youngsters who own go-peds
that it is illegal to ride the machines without insurance, a driver's licence or an MOT.
"With the information we are given we are going to be doing some operations with
the police beat managers and Ashfield District Council's Environmental Health Department
to target problem areas" he said
